This easy Greek yogurt fruit dip recipe is made with just 3 ingredients and makes eating fruit dip with apples, strawberries and more seem like a party.

Healthy Fruit Dip Recipe

After school or on weekend playdates, my daughter and her friends were always on the lookout for any opportunity to partake of a snack. As a mom, you know I wished said snack would be healthy. So instead of pulling out a box of this or a bag of that, a platter of bites to snack on became their go-to fave.

The girls called them pupu platters. I called them peace of mind. Knowing these kids were eating good for them snacks made it that much easier to whip them up on a whim. Easy is the name of this game.

This pupu platter has fruit of every color and with a centerpiece of sweet and healthy yogurt fruit dip. It’s great to serve on a platter for breakfast or brunch, or take to a potluck with fruit skewers.

With just three ingredients to whisk together, you won’t waste any time making it yourself.

What’s In Yogurt Fruit Dip?

Most of the fruit dip recipes I see are made with cream cheese, marshmallow cream, or the fake stuff that makes up whipped topping.

I like a more natural, more healthy ingredient list. This one is short and sweet:

  • Vanilla flavored Greek yogurt. Choose a high-quality yogurt made with real milk. I use whole fat because it’s creamier, but feel free to use low-fat if you prefer.
  • Honey. Unlike granulated or brown sugar, honey whisks into the Greek yogurt with ease.
  • Pumpkin pie spice. I love using pumpkin pie spice in just about anything that calls for cinnamon or nutmeg. I’m an over-doer that way. If you’d prefer, substitute cinnamon or nutmeg, or a combo of both, instead.

How to Make Fruit Dip

There’s not much heavy lifting or muscle power needed to make this easy fruit dip. Simply combine all of the ingredients in one bowl, then whisk until creamy and combined.

Make this yogurt fruit dip ahead of time and chill before serving, or go ahead and serve it straight away. The fruit dip will keep covered in the refrigerator for up to one week, or up to the expiration date on the yogurt container.

How Long Does Fruit Dip Last?

This fruit dip disappears quickly at my house, but I’m sure it’d last up to a week in the fridge. It’s just yogurt, honey, and spices, after all.

Can I Double This Recipe?

Very easily! If you’ll be serving this to a crowd, double or even triple the amount of yogurt fruit dip you make and keep some of it reserved in the fridge. That way, you can refill the bowl with cold fruit dip as it gets eaten.

What to Serve With Fruit Dip

Naturally, any array of fruit will taste delicious with this sweet yogurt fruit dip, such as:

  • apples
  • nectarines
  • peaches
  • plums
  • kiwi
  • cherries
  • grapes
  • blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, etc.
  • cantaloupe
  • watermelon

Other ideas to serve on your healthy fruit dip pupu platter for dipping are:

  • graham crackers
  • assorted cookies
  • pretzels
  • popcorn
  • nuts

And if you’re into jazzing up your dip, try this add-in flavor enhancers:

  • zest of orange, lime, or lemon (avoid adding juice which will make it too runny)
  • chopped nuts
  • chocolate shavings

Tips for Making Yogurt Fruit Dip

I’ve only made this yogurt fruit dip recipe with vanilla Greek yogurt, but I bet you could use any flavor you’d like. Anything sweet or fruity would work nicely in this easy fruit dip.

Feel free to amp up the spices in this healthy fruit dip to suit your tastes. I found 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice per cup of yogurt to be perfect for us, but add more or less if desired.

For a prettier appearance, I like to swirl a little extra honey on top of the fruit dip. It looks like that for approximately 1 second before my daughter dives into it, but hey, it’s a nice touch.
