Thank you for your patterns for baby dolls. I am sewing these for my granddaughter who is on the mission field with her parents. She has six baby dolls and loves mothering them and has been wanting clothes for them. I have made her a quilt and sheets for them and am now ready to tackle clothes. Your patterns look simple enough for me to try. I do sew clothes for myself but trying to sew doll clothes just baffles me. Maybe it is the small size that is the challenge. I did not realize it would be so hard to find baby doll clothes patterns but it has been a challenge. I guess baby dolls are not as popular as they once were. I look forward to your tutorial on how we can design our own baby doll clothes though I don’t think I will get too detailed or involved technically in creating something new. Maybe adding lace or rick-rack might be the extent of my embellishment. Anyway, thank you so much for your generosity in providing your patterns for free.

We need patterns for the new “Newborn” dolls kids like–think they have replaced the old standing “baby doll?” They are the scrunched-up kind with bent legs that don’t stand, seen in WM and Target. GD got a 15″ for Christmas, their sizes can vary. vary. Any patterns we can re-size?Loading...

Because I get this question (about various dolls) at least once a week, I’ve put together a class, so people can learn how to re-size patterns to fit the doll they wish to sew for. It’s called “How to Alter Doll Clothes Patterns,” and it uses a simple mathematical formula to help you take patterns that are either too big or too small, and re-size them to fit a different doll. Thank you for the free patterns. I get my dolls from charity shops dress them and send to the Ukraine. You have really helped me reduce my costs. Their are many displaced children grateful to you. God bless you. Xx
