Simple Pantry Organization Ideas for Small Spaces
It can be hard to figure out how to organize a pantry, especially if you have only a small space to do it in. Having lived in small homes and even RVs, I’ve had my fair share of experience with tiny pantries and the limited storage room that they provide.
For this blog post, I searched the web for inspiration for small pantries and the unique pantry organization ideas that they might have for us. Check out the pictures below to get ideas for your own pantry space!
Shelf Storage for Jars
This is a small pantry idea from Blisshaus. The small pantry is a minimalist’s dream, featuring only clear glass jars filled with various dried foods. The shelves are lined with rows of identical-style jars showcasing the ingredients. The jars are labeled with a label maker to make sure that you won’t get confused about what’s in them.
The jars used here are tightly sealed because of the seal and gasket-style lids of the jars, preserving the freshness of the ingredients inside. The overall effect is practical and pleasing, creating a sense of calm and order. This would be a great small pantry idea if you have to have your pantry out in the open and want it to look pretty as well as functional.
Kitchen Pantry Tiny Closet
This tiny space from Tag and Tibby was something I had to share. She utilized baskets and some stackable rectangular containers to create more space out of a tiny closet.
I also love the snack bins on the ground. Snacks at kid-level makes it easier for them to grab out by themselves and makes less of a chance they will destroy your pantry organization when they are hunting for a snack.
Organized Pantry Area with Baskets
This organized small pantry from Designthusiasm utilizes larger baskets for drinks and also uses stackable storage containers to make the most of a single shelf.
Not only that, they also use clear plastic drawers for the rest of the pantry items so that it’s easy to see what smaller things they have inside them. I’m guessing this also helps with things falling through the wire shelving or from sitting crooked on the wire shelving.
Maximizing Vertical Space
Neatly Designed has really made use of the vertical space they have in their tiny pantry with the over-the-door pantry shelving as well as filling up the large bottom space with a rolling cart.
It looks like she not only uses the pantry for food but also for silverware and dinnerware. It’s a lot in one small space, but when you don’t have much to go on, you make it work!
Small Pantry With BIG Impact!
This tiny pantry from Real Life Organizing is a perfect example of how to use clear plastic containers to fit as much in your pantry as you can. This type of organization would be particularly good for those who buy foods in bulk.
The white plastic drawers are great for potatoes, cans, and other smaller items where the plastic storage containers work well for bulk dry goods. I believe those smaller containers are from Ikea (I have a few and don’t like the way they sit on a shelf) and the others look like the OXO Good Grips Containers (which I’ve had in the past and love).
Utilizing Every Inch of the Space
The Tidy Circus makes use of several of the things I’ve already mentioned…clear plastic drawers, an over the door pantry, and larger bins on the floor. But one thing they are using that they others aren’t is those clear plastic lazy susans for storing snacks. That looks like a great way to fit a lot of snacks in one small space and a great way to direct children that want to riffle through the snacks.
I hope that these photos give you a little more inspiration for your small pantry. I will continue to add to this post as I find more genius pantry organization ideas for small spaces!
